subject: Cable to Transfer from 1541 to IBM PC Parallel

RA>Okay, I'm just waiting until the author "freezes" the
features in the
 RA>PD version.

Hey! I want the full version! No crippleware please! (:

RA>That's exactly how I intended to do it. If a PC can read / write to
RA>the 1541 serial port, then it can sit and listen for the 64 to send it
RA>commands. I'm pretty sure I have the info from the DISK64E author on
RA>how he does it, and there's also an Amiga version of what I want - the
RA>author of that is just a bit slow in answering me!

I'm surprised you didn't do this from the beginning, although it would
involve a lot more work on the pc end. Hopefully you'll figure this out for
version #2.

RA>That was always going to be an issue, wasn't it! :)

Yep, you'd need some pretty low level C or maybe even pc assembler (pewk!)
for speed, & you'd have to grab a couple of interupts too. No way I'm
volunteering for this one (:
 Good luck with it anyway.

cya, Errol
