Good luck on finding ribbon embroidery.  I would bet on your liking it.
It's easy and very impressive and I saw you had many offers of help if
you get stuck.
I grew up near Tremont Avenue and Southern Blvd and then moved to East
216 Street.  I graduated from Evander Childs High School and City
College...but that was long ago.  Now I live in Glen Ridge, New Jersey
about 15 miles west of the LIncoln Tunnel.
My parents are visiting from Florida.  I made embossed cards with my
mother and my new 6 year old grand daughter.  Next I'll show them ribbon
embroidery and make some magnets with beads you heat.  That's an easy
project for young children.
