In the case of timEd 1.11, currently the OS/2 and DOS versions can no
longer be compiled due to changes to the source code in order to build a
UNIX port. There is a Windows version of timEd 1.11 but it relies on
Cygwin (which provides a UNIX emulation layer at the source code level, but
introduces quite a bit of overhead to the program). There are some major
bugs in the screen-writing code for the native Windows (non-Cygwin) version
which needs to be looked at by an interested party (not really me).

In future I may have a go at getting the OS/2 version working, but I don't
have an OS/2 test box, so I'd need to cross-compile from a Windows box,
then get someone to test the result under OS/2 and send me feedback, which
could be a real pain if things go wrong.

Whether any of this is really necessary is debatable. To my knowledge
there aren't any major new features between 1.10 and 1.11 that would
encourage people to upgrade from the binaries released in the pre-source
code era. I tend to think anyone running non-UNIX/non-BeOS systems should
stick with their current versions of their Artware programs.

As for WIMM, these binaries are available for FREQ from 3:633/267 (BinkP
only) and on the web at http://blizzard.dnsalias.org/fidonet/wimm/ :

wimm22o.zip WIMM 2.2; Where Is My Mail; Compiled for 32-bit OS/2.
wimm22w.zip WIMM 2.2; Where Is My Mail; Compiled for 32-bit Windows.
wimm22x.zip WIMM 2.2; Where Is My Mail; Compiled for 32-bit DOS.

Although again, there are no new features.

And NetMgr has only just been ported to UNIX/BeOS...
