Valery, good luck, I probably know exactly what you are going through! My
wife spent 18 months in prison on a 10 year conviction of something she could
not have physically or mentally done to a small child she was keeping in our
home...CPS did not take our own children from us, but they were instrumental
in trumping up the case along with the DA, the judge, and a doctor who didn't
even see the child! CPS workers here in Texas do not even have to have a
degree in that field...ANY college degree will work! I found that out
(finally) from a former worker...I also found out that the worker on our case
had a degree in interior design! (Real qualification, huh?) Anyway, here in
Texas, one cannot sue any of the state officials in a case like this even if
you prove they were wrong because they were "just doing their duty as they
saw fit". So, good luck and I hope that you do well...If I can help you, I
will.
BTW, I see so many people who either have been wronged by CPS or dislike the
way they are; why hasn't anyone been able to get the federal government to
change things? Is there not enough support to put pressure on the right
politicians? I'm not a very good organizer, but I can make one heck of a
member!
government to change things"
