Given its age, it's almost certainly not a good number now; and I
don't know if the anticipated upgrade ever materialized beyond the
downloadable file.

WordPerfect's always been able to convert to/from its own formats --
the current one and its predecessors -- and ASCII/DOS, but not other
formats -- Word, Ami, WordStar, etc.  ConvertPerfect was a separate
program with expanded conversion capabilities that was integrated
and included with WPD 5.1+ and 6.* versions.
