Did you get any notification about the danger while the situation was
going on, or did you find out after it was contained?  I always wonder
if the public would actually be notified so we could protect ourselves
from something horrible like that.  If the virus had been transmissible
to humans, that situation could have been really tragic.

Sounds like a good plan.  It's really important to buy from
disease-savvy breeders, but they don't have to be vets, just
experienced and caring.
