Hi, Bill.

BG> PE> Actually, how about some stats from everyone else. Say since
BG> PE> 1/6/95, what percentage of your calls have been successful?

BG> FM> One hundred, if you don't count when your line is busy or rings out.
BG> IOW
BG> FM> if I get connected the call completes.

BG> BG> 1. What brand/speed modem are you currently using?

BG> FM> Spirit Thunder 14k4.

BG> Interesting. What about the double-send bug, have you experienced that?

Dunno, what's the symptoms?

BG> BG> 2. Do you connect with error-correction EVERY time?

BG> FM> Dunno. I'll try and remember to look, as I don't have Telix keeping a
BG> FM> log at this stage (haven't seen any need to).

I can't have a look, that CONNECT message doesn't show up now that I've
modified my Telix script as suggested by Paul to save those 2 or 3
seconds at the connect.

BG> My failed calls refuse to transfer data at all, and Rod now tells me that
BG> his are the same, so I'd reasonably expect that you'd notice if a call had
BG> failed to complete properly. Ergo, it looks like you're not afflicted.

Presumably you are talking about getting a connect and then failing at
some later point. TTBOMK I have never had that, apart from when someone
here picks up the phone. That doesn't happen much now. :-)

I wouldn't normally know if the phone gets answered but no connect
happens, as I don't have tones turned on.

BG> Hallelujah brother! :)

Nice to win some sometimes. :-)

Regards, FIM.
