In my universe when your arrogance and incompetence kills
people you get bashed then tossed into a jail cell.

With the BILLIONS of dollars NASA has been spending I could do
some building. The 24 billion they want to finish the space
station is probably the entire gross national product of
Brazil!!!

OK, my first constructive contribution is that NASA can go
straight to hell and we start from scratch. 

MR> Let's try launching the shuttle without the SRB's from a
MR> flying platform instead of from the gound. Better yet let's
MR> forget the shuttles and proceed with Energia alone as the
MR> Russians have their launches working nearly flawlessly,
MR> well the landings are off target from time to time. 

When these space programs began we had high expectations, most
of them unrealized these many years. I think it's time we
stepped back and re-evaluted our priorities based on the
information we _now_ have as to how expensive this 'hobby' is
and how slim the returns really are. 

No more hyperbole that "we never would've invented
this/that/the other if not for the space program". Hitler had
no satellites in orbit and the Germans were pumping out new
inventions like popcorn. 

Limit the claims of return on investment to reality and you see
that NASA is a money pit that no amount of taxation can fill.
