BS>CT> Well.... There are those who allow for a willing suspension of
BS>CT> disbelief, and others who RELY on it....:-) I tend to fall into the
BS>CT> latter when it comes to sticky plot points.
BS>I used to be a reality nut, but not any more. Not when I see awful
BS>errors in books that are churning out barrelfuls of money for certain
BS>nameless best selling authors.
Well, after seeing Clive Cussler check the safety on his Colt Python for
the third time in as many books, I quit worrying about it as much too.
Others have told me that he makes huge mistakes on his old cars, but I
don't know about those. Hey, the boo-boos don't seem to affect his
book sales much.
BS>CT> So he's going to cough up the money, then shrug it off when he
BS>CT> doesn't get the wife back? Hmmm, that could work. He pays off
BS>CT> because he's a dutiful, if dull, husband, and when she takes off for
BS>CT> the hills, he shrugs and figures, "Oh well, I did what I was
BS>CT> supposed to do." That could work.
BS>Wrong. He's neither dutiful nor dull. But he is sort of compulsively
BS>unfaithful and she is his third wife. So............
Ta-ta to her, eh?
BS>CT> of potential there. Of course, after the hubby dies trying to get
BS>CT> her back his brother will be forced out of familial duty to go after
BS>CT> them, resulting in yet another sequel....;-)
BS>Hey--Hollywood is looking for you.
HA! I tried the screenplay thing, repeatedly, and they managed to avoid
me quite handily. Fooey.
