One last thought, there is a giant sunspot group which is responsible
for a number of radio blackouts we've had of late. I'm not saying this
is entirely the case but I think the UHF band would be affected to some
degree (i.e. extra noise) just like all other radio frequencies.
Since the Sun rotates about every 10 to 11 days the bad reception should
occur on the same repetitive cycle to varying degree of severity until
a sunspot group resolves itself.
