You could try Com 3 and IRQ 5... but that would be very "non standard" and
may cause problems with a number of applications which require standard com
ports
(1 & 2) and standard IRQ's (3 & 4).
Your modem probably doesn't work on com 2 because you already have a com 2.
Assuming you have a multi-io card, try and disable the 2nd com port on the
I/O card, and then setup the modem for com 2. If you're unsure how to disable
the
2nd port, perhaps there's some markings on the card which would tell you how?
If there's nothing on the card for instructions, is there a name on the card?
