They sell the torx bits that remove those security screws but I simply
use a tempered flat screwdriver to break out the center pin. First I
line up the blade on edge so it catches the pin. Then I rap it sharply
in one direction then turn it around and rap it in the opposite
direction. It usually snaps off after that. If it's a pan head screw,
another method is to simply cut a slot across the head for a flat
screwdriver with a hack saw. After removing the screw I usually replace
it with a non-torx one. The security torx are far from invincible but
they sure are annoying.
