-> In the earlier thread, BIR the main suggestion was to buy the torx bit -> with the little hole in the tip to receive the pin. In some of the -> recent replies, folks have suggested some more alternatives. BIR, I've -> had a bit of success sometimes with taking a center punch and knocking -> the top of that pin down far enough that a standard Torx bit would fit -> down in there far enough to catch. I have found Tamper Proof Torx Tools pelntiful and cheep at me First Saturday Swap Meet. But if you are dealing with a Quality Torx sct\rew I would remind you that they are Hardened Fastners and will not mash down very much at all. Have you ever tried to drill out a Allen Set Screw?? Well the Torx fastners are typicaly made out of the same material. Amd if one thinks about it it makes sense. What temperproof capabilities would a Fasterner have it it was made out of Very soft material like the Typical Hardware Store bolts or screws?? --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
