Your probably right.
I only spent a few weeks last summer looking for a GM truck rear axle.
Lots of 10 bolts, and 2 torn apart 12 bolts. Slim pickin's.

Mail order is what sucks. Unless the mail order item is ridiculously
underpriced its not worth it.
Either make a trip across the border, or buy it here.
Actually, I should check up on the current statistics on mail order.
You can buy lots of rims at any speedshop. As an example a 15x7 American
Racing Chrome Nugget I could buy for 50 dollars a piece a couple years ago,
for a price comparison.
If I didn't by chance happen on a pair of 15x7 truck rally wheels later
that day I would have bought them. (Used truck rallys had an asking price
of $30 - $45 each)
Back in 1991 a 14x7 American Racing Torq Thrust-D commanded the low low
price of $380. =)
Uhm, Fel Pro rubber sbc valve cover gaskets ring in at $12.
An Accel HEI Cap and Rotor for $39.99
Edelbrock Performer intakes on sale, less than $200.
Prices definately higher than yours, but in many cases cheaper than mail
ordering.
I suspect Gerald wants to be certain of rim fit before plunking down some
cash on 4 new wheels. =) He may have read some of the same boxes I did when
I bought my Nuggets, which basically said, if there was a tire mounted, you
can keep them, unless of course theres a mechanical defect, but first we
want to check it out for abuse.
Alex.
