If you subclass the dialog,  you can intercept WM_PAINT I guess -- but make
sure you do NOT call WinBeginPaint or WinDefDlg/WindowProc.

It is not worth the hassle -- just add a user control to reserve the space
on the dialog,  then draw into that (it is its own window).
