Hello Cindy, >LL>For whatever reason, the messages I tried to upload never made it to >LL>daylight. Probably due to a flaw in SLMR. Happens every few hundred >LL>packets. Don't know why. Or it could be due to my evil twin... >LL>BTW, never mix baby food in ground beef to make hamburger patties. >LL>Really stinks up a kitchen. Trust me. I know. Just a friendly word >LL>of advice. Ignore at your own peril. CH>Three questions. :) CH>1. Can you remember what the lost message was about or did the black CH>cloud get it. The black cloud definitely got it. :) CH>2. Why would you mix 'baby food' with ground beef? The idea is to give the hamburger patties a "creamy" texture. However, when cooking the ground beef/baby food mixture, a very definite "stinky" aroma quickly stinks up everything in the kitchen. CH>3. What kind of baby food did you use Lee. :) Strained-beef baby food. However, those folks who try to "reverse engineer" White Castle hamburgers (marketed as Crystal hamburgers down South) really do not know what they are talking about. One of my friends was a cook at one of those diners (Tastee Donuts) and let me in on the secret recipe. Soak dehydrated onions in sauerkraut juice for 15 minutes, then place on grill. Cook hamburger patties (which are 100% beef) with onions on grill until done. The hamburger patties are small, only about 3 inches square, with holes in middle. The holes allow for sauerkraut and onion juices to soak thoroughly into patties, and also allow patties to be fully cooked without flipping on grill. That is what gives the patties a "creamy" texture. When patties are fully cooked, place hamburger patties and onions on dinner rolls. Add cheese to make cheeseburgers. Serve warm. The boxed version found in grocery stores are fully cooked, and on buns, thus allowing hamburgers w/buns to be microwaved. --Lee * SLMR 2.1a * Backup not found: (A)bort (R)etry (P)anic --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32* Origin: Collin County Station (1:124/6308) SEEN-BY: 633/267 @PATH: 124/6308 5025 106/1 261/38 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
