Went on a ride yesterday. what a tough one. Went withnine other strong
riders. The course was in the hills and no flats to be found. It was either
climbing (a lot of that) or great long descents. I forced myself to eat and
drink. I had also those gel packs (what does anyone think about them). Even
with 4 bottles of juice and food I still cramped my right hamstring while
climbing - youw!! I grabbed my water bottle and drank a whole lot. The muscle
settled down finally. We climbed this 19% hill and if you sat back too much
the front wheel kept lifting off the ground. some of the roads were so deep
in the forest that mini sand dunes settled across the pavement. And of course
they would be around a bend. Took all night to brush off the effect.
