I've always been too chicken to pour boiling water on; so the 24+ hr
soak is the way I go. Even so, it can take a month to sprout. Maybe
next time, I will try the boiling water. :-)
AAMOF, I have forgotten what the spacing for N.Z. spinach is, but it
cannot be planted in close rows, as it's only the growing tips that
are harvested. By frost, the many-clipped plant has branched and
covers quite an area.
