When running in 1.60, setting the default allows the directory and a
jambase name to be provided... so, if only worried about one directory and
group you can hit one key to add the area with no other intervention.
That's not the autoadd feature though, that reading from the bad area base
if not running the autoadd switch.

So, if I set the directory to be C:\BBS\MSGBASE and try to add an areatag
of THISMSGBASE I will see:

C:\BBS\MSGBASE\THISMSGB

If that is acceptable, one key flips you to the next area, or it will warn
you if the jambase is already in use and let you modify it.

I ahve found this extremely useful since I recently rebuilt the system, not
to mention I use several different groups and directories. Have added
hundreds of areas in one sitting from various zones and regions that way
and found it to be much faster than any method I have used in the past.
Having it auto-add them to folders.fd and the BBS itself has me tickled
silly.

My setup coming into Fido -was- FDsw, FMail, ProBoard... later, FDml,
FMail, EleBBS (same as RA for the most part)... I wish I could apply some
input for MVdV, but hey, it is what it is.

I do suggest for you however :) that depending on how much message area
manipulation you engage in, that you might like to upgrade to 1.60. Being
as your main setup is -very- similar to mine I doubt there would be any
issues, and it may come in handy at some time.

Phil
