In a competitive market, you have to do something better than the other
guys.  And word of mouth may have some effect.

Good "help desks" cost money and for a while it looked anyone
could connect with anything.  But when we were starting up, I used to make
"house calls" to help users who could not connect and found in
most cases that it was the user who had problems.

But the problems you are having are close to unacceptable and someone
should be helping you with this.

You won't see that again.  The people who run our Intranet don't manage
that although they will give you ample notice of system shutdowns.
