  I found out later that she was running the laptop on line
 voltage nearly all the time.I told her that a rechargable
 battery should be discharged or it would SET at a high
 voltage point.I told her to run WITHOUT the battery.
 Since her rechargable loses about 1 % voltage per day,
 I suggest she leave the battery out and recharge it about
 once a month or before she needs to go off house voltage.
