A lot of cover disk software isn't necessarily freely distributable, especially the bigger applications. Buying the magazine is part of the software licence. OTOH, a lot of people don't realize this & may be quite innocently distributing them. Besides, the coverdisks often don't have complete docs - you need to refer to the magazine article.
