I use credit cards for almost all purchases. I doubt that I spend
more than $20 per month in cash. OTOH, they pay me for using them.
One card pays me 5% on all grocery and gasoline purchases and the
other one pays 1% on every thing else. No annual fee either. And
never one cent paid in interest since I pay the balance off every
month.
You are very right about people getting trapped with using credit
cards when they cannot pay them off. The interest rates that they
charge are very high.
