Yet. Never considered buying because I've got such a huge load of stuff here that I'm trying desperately to downsize, and because I've only seen these center pin screws in public places, I suppose to deter theft and vandalism. This is the first time I've seen them on something at home. > I have only a vague recollection of this thread, > but if it comes down to it I'll buy some tools. > Or drill the buggers out... Drilling was on my list, but I've gained some respect for the metal that these screws are made of. The deceptively flimsy looking center pins have already ruined a couple of small screwdrivers. Don't want to end up ruining a series of drill bits. I think I'll try Mike Ross' and Greg Easthom's suggestions first before considering anything else. --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Juxtaposition BBS, Telnet:juxtaposition.dynip.com (1:167/133) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 167/133 379/1 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
