I do have a grudging additional respect for
those who can fulfill their duties while half

skill and flair rare among the sober.

That doesn't sound insuperable. And the lungs,
they go into animal food, and we're exposed to the
contaminants anyhow, second hand.

categories: booze
servings: 1

2 egg yolks, beaten
1 ts sugar or tt
5 oz scalded milk
2 oz Irish whiskey

[This] was a favourite drink at the bars of the House
of Commons, during the reign of the Uncrowned King.

The yolks of two eggs, well beaten, were placed in a
large tumbler, a little sifted sugar was added, and a
small tumblerful of hot milk was gradually stirred
into the mixture. Last of all a large wine-glassful
of John Jameson was added.
