Hi Birdman,
   Thanks again for the info!  The pergola idea is wonderful and makes the 
best sense.  I was even thinking about a simple screen made with those 
lattice sections.  I have to do something since it will just be a matter of 
time before I will have to replace that window again, the next time it 
probably won't be under warranty.
