Sometimes when the right hand evidently doesn't know what the
left is doing, it's very frustrating indeed.  We've experienced many such
situations in recent months.  This one, however, provided us with a bit of
comic relief:

          Last week we helped move my mother because the extended care
facility she was in is to be torn down.  She tells us she liked the old
place better, as did we... but that's another story!  This pertains to the
bedside phone she had there which (since we were making the arrangements
& paying the bills) somebody at the phone company decreed *must* be in
Dallas's name.  Okay, whatever... the number is unlisted, so it doesn't
really matter to us.  But now my mother needs a phone jack installed in her
new room.  Yesterday we got a call from a workman who had been searching
the ward for a patient named Dallas Hinton... [chuckle].
