Hi Marilyn,
   Thanks for the reply and words of welcome!  I was a city gardener most of 
my life until the past few years.  I am trying to take a 1/4 acre lot which 
has no top soil, only builders fill, and make it look like a well landscaped, 
established yard.  I have used many bails of spaghnum and bags of cow manure, 
and hard work!  I have followed Fido's model train section for several years, 
but never thought to look for a gardening echo.  I just discovered this echo 
after the local board had a major crash and I had to look over the echo list.
   I will probably need help later this Spring when the Japanese beetles come 
for lunch!
