The set designer had some fun with that movie... I particularly liked the
computer terminals. (round, brass rimmed, keys and fresnel magnifiers)

IIRC William Gibson also uses that phrase in one (or more?) of his books.

it's also an apt description of the character "Max Headroom" from the TV
series of the same title..
