for one-upmanship, all because I should have been a little more careful
with my choice of terminology above.  Of course, it has also probably
escaped your attention that as I was the author, I might just have had a
slightly better concept of exactly what I meant to say, than that word upon
which you so eagerly and avariciously pounced.
