That's a good summary of the causes, Tom. My appliance's problem is that over time the grease in the box containing the nylon gears ends up on the walls of the box and the appliance then overheats. All you have to do is shove the grease back into the gears. Then it's good for another few years. A ten minute job. Am I still p***ed off, or what?
