DS> FYI, in April of '95 I tried to order these two manuals from
DS> IBM. After 3-4 months, I finally had them in my library,

IBM has been making an effort to post all of the Red Books on their web
site for searchable access. If you have Internet access, check out:
http://www.developer.ibm.com -- overview of OS/2 devloper support programs
http://www.ibm.com/search.html -- search IBM documentation
http://www-i.almaden.ibm.com/redbooks -- Red Book index and abstracts
DS> I will skip the sorry details, but what has happened is that
DS> IBM bundled these two manuals with a video tape and a couple
DS> of demo disks under an order number of SK2T-0018-00.
Note that this nomenclature indicates a serial collection
("SK...") at its initial release ("...-00"). This is a
bundle of other serials, usually on CD-ROM. For example, you can order a
CD-ROM containing all 37 Red Books related to OS/2 as SK2T-2176-05
"OS/2 Collection," and a CD-ROM containing all 142 Red Books
related to networking as SK2T-6022-04 "IBM Networking
Collection."
DS> The original numbers show up in IBM's database as
DS> discontinued, w/ no forwarding "address".
Have a look at GG24-3580-01 "Developing a CUA Workplace
Application" and at GG24-3438-00 "Writing SAA Applications for
AS/400." CUA is also referenced in GG24-3774-01 "OS/2 Version 2
Volume 4: Writing Programs" and in GG24-3944-00 "Evaluation of
OS/2 V2.0 Application Development Tools."
