Nora has a new nickname... "Hot Wheels".  Ten days ago
she amazed the folks who didn't really believe us when we told them she'd
got a speeding ticket at school last time she was in a power chair!  They
gave her one to try, and she took to it like a duck to water.  She's still
using a standard wheelchair at the rehab centre pending further
arrangements.  On Wednesday this week we attended a barbecue we had seen
advertised in the elevator.  It may have been intended as a staff barbecue,
but the notice didn't say so... and everyone graciously accepted our
presence there although we were the only "clients" present.  Nora
won second prize in the ball drop contest, with yours truly providing some
auxiliary muscle power on the (uphill) course & clowning around a bit
because points were awarded for style.  And she acquired her new nickname
at this particular event....  :-))
