I stayed with VLB because I already had the cards, and didn't want to have to buy another video card (most PCI boards have embedded EIDE I/O these days), but you'll certainly be hard-pressed finding one which takes 30-pin SIMMs, or even a mixture, as they all have 72-pin slots these days.
