BUT there is a mitigating factor in that a refrigerator also has a very
short duty cycle and an A/C must work almost all the time. Also when a
refigerator works it uses about the same electrical power as an A/C. So
though all things may not be quite equal, I still think my contraption
stands a chance of working. However, since I haven't even attempted a
single calculation, you may very well be right after all!
