Old versions of WordPerfect that were legally
(with WordPerfect permission) given to schools were
re-registered to the school. There'd be no reason to
pull them. According to the statement that blanket
approval had been given, it also said WordPerfect
needed to be informed. I would assume that they would
be re-registered - or at least, noted by WordPerfect
and, therefore, no need to pull them.
Unfortunately, I've been told, schools have been
one of the leaders in piracy - with the teachers as
captains! I've listened to teacher friends talk about
copying software and Xeroxing books. Copyright laws
seem to mean nothing to them.
