Make yourself a nice large-ball peen ended attachment for your muffler
cutting air hammer.  It's the ONLY way to bash the firewall in without
damaging anything ELSE under there and still do a presentable job.
I welded a large ball bearing out of the oil patch to a cutoff stem
from the muffler cutter.  (Anybody who doesn't already HAVE one of these
tools NEEDs to.  Jeeze, they're only twenty bucks.)
