 They have been for years and years in San Diego.  The closing
 credits tend to indicate PBS owns it, lock, stock and barrel. 

 Much of the music in the re-runs is introduced by former cast
 members - much reminiscing about their days on the show.  And
 although the commercials have been removed, it is sometimes
 possible to see a curtain in the background with a sponsor's
 name.
