Don't you think pimping FidoNet has not been tried here? All thos projects
have faiked and so, I am sorry to say will yours. Because:

1) FidoNet owes its success to its modest bandwith requirements and
efficient use of it. Pictures and other whistles and bells however require
a broadband InterNet connection. So for people to participate they need an
adsl or cable connection. But when they have that, they no longer have need
for Fido. Bringing Fdio closer to InterNet has always led to loss of
FidoNet members.

2) You are reinventing the wheel. There is plenty of stuff around that
already offers all the whistles and bells: usenet, msm, napster, you name
it.
