No Kosher wine I have ever met could be considered "good". The
"koshering" process ruins it for drinking - which may be on purpose.
It's even worse that the Christian Brothers communion wine I was given
at church services when I was an altar boy.
I could imagine sipping a glass of C.B. a thousand times before I'd try
a glass of M.D. or Machewitz Concord.
BTW - the M.D. Kiwi Lime that Benita bought for the Y2K picnic still
sits in a back corner of my ice box, pulsing chartreusely. Bv)=
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
Title: Kiwi Lime Marmalade
Categories: Five, Condiments, Preserves, Citrus, Fruits
Yield: 1 Servings
4 Kiwis fruit (Chinese Goose
- berry); peeled, trimmed
Zest of 1 lime; slivered
3/4 c Sugar
2 tb Fresh lime juice
Quarter kiwis lengthwise, and then cut them crosswise
in 1/2" cubes.
Combine the kiwis with all the remaining ingredients
in a deep 2 1/2 quart microwave-safe casserole, and
stir well.
Cook, uncovered, at full power (650 to 750 watts) for
5 minutes. Stir, return to the microwave, and cook
until thick, another 6 minutes.
Allow the marmalade to cool to room temperature; then
cover tightly and refrigerate. It will keep for 1 week
in the refrigerator.
