I heard rumours that some people had been able to make them work.
But the BBS I was using prior to 1-1-00 decided that he didn't
want to bother. I had been his only client -- out of SIX, would
you believe -- who was using the BW Door, and with so few
customers anyway he was thinking of closing. As it was he hung on
for another eight months.

When I went looking for another BBS in the local area, none of
them had a BW Door, working or otherwise.

It may yet come to the point where I have to set up as a private
BBS just to get a connection, but so far there are still about
five "public" BBSs operating in the area.
