    3/4 c  Water
      6 dr Red food coloring
      1 tb Honey, molasses or white
           Sugar
      1 tb Vegetable oil
    3/4 ts Salt
  2 3/4 c  Bread flour
  1 1/2 ts Active dry yeast
    1/2 c  Dried cherries, chopped,*

  1 1/8 c  Water
      6 dr Red food coloring
      2 tb Honey, molasses or white
           Sugar
      1 tb Vegetable oil
      1 ts Salt
  3 1/3 c  Bread flour
      2 ts Active dry yeast
    3/4 c  Dried cherries, chopped*
  *Work into dough.
  If early Americans had known about cherry bagels, they might have
  become more popular than cherry pie. George Washington could have cut
  down the cherry tree for a mighty good reason. Use dried cherries and
  hand-knead into dough. If coloring is not stron enough, add a few
  more drops to dough during kneading phase.
