Well, for gooder or better I got a Colt Match HBAR.
Now I'll have to buy a case of ammo, dies, more magazines and spend more
time at the range practicing with it. But it should be service-rifle
legal. Though I miss the flash suppressor and bayonet lug. 
Even got what he called a Leatherwood scope mount that attaches to the
carrying handle that I may try now and then since I've an extra scope
lying about. Thought about a .22LR conversion kit, but will wait there.
Bought it yesterday, shot it yesterday at the lake using M193 Israeli
ball ... need to get some 80gr match ammo before I go to Knob Creek and
sight it in officially.
It's not bad.  But then ... _real_ men shoot .30 caliber!
