Good grief Ward, its run by your government, they employ people to run the
service, these people dont work for free nor is the equipment they use free
to the government, they are paid via taxes collected from people like you.
Its not that complicated, I am sure you are aware that your taxes also help
pay for the police, military etc etc etc?
