| subject: | AMI Bios Reset Question |
An Aged AMI Bios cometh ..
and stoppeth reading he..
AMI BIOS about February of 1996/98 or so...
It's on an older M519 AMD 586 Mobo and hangs in the "Read the tea
leaves" section just after you punch the key to go reset
something. Not all the times - just sometimes.
I can go in and yank the J6 battery backup put the jumper over the hardware
reset pins and start all over. It will always come up that way. You can
do the setup work and it saves and runs just fine. But ... every now and
then when you want to check something of test this or that .. JAMMED!
Is there a separate keystroke command other than the conventional
key like or or something, that
will cold turkey John Henry and his 16 pound hammer force a complete reset
like the pin short deal maybe?
Inquiring mind wants to know!
Thanks.,.,
--> Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;)
