Replying to a message of Dale Shipp to Bj”Rn Felten:

Around here it does, 911 operators average around $10/hr. Wages for technicians
run from $8.50/hr to about $15.00/hr. The last job I had paid $12.50/hr (and I
have two bachelor's degrees and 30+ years experience in data processing, both
operations and programming). Simple economics, too many people chasing too few
jobs - and no, I'm not going to move.
