It should be possible to set up AVT so that if they pull the plug, nothing happens. What *I'd* like to see is AVT connected to the backbone at one point only, so that it's available but not actually carried. And as soon as we get a new customer, we get him to join the inner net so that the main backbone never carries traffic for any length of time.
