Hello Tom -

--8<--cut

->> If we imagine a person paying $12K for a turntable, what
->> stereo system do they hook this up to with what type of
->> speaker system and in what room large enough to not totally
->> distort this sound?

TW> I immagine the person that would buy a turntable like that
TW> would have a "Listening" room costing about as much as my
TW> House(a 1000 Sq Ft Tract House) would sell for today.

The interesting thing is that people think they can actually
hear the difference. I read arguments among "golden ears" about
the quality of various computer sound file formats and smile at
their arrogance to really believe they hear what others do not
hear.

->> The guy who wrote this 'review' and the people who designed
->> and sell these turntables are all just a bit wacky IMO.

TW> Actualy the people buying them are the "Bit Wacko" ones.
TW> The Builder and Reviewer are just doing things the
TW> "Amercian Way"(MAKING MONEY) And as PT Barnum said "There
TW> is a Sucker Born Every Minute"

Welll if a person must be a fanatic and spend money it's better
spent on this than on drugs or any number of other meaningless
activities.
