Carts hold berely any... When you read that they use 215 megs, or 128, that's
not megabytes as we know them, they are megabites (with an I instead of a Y).
1 megabyte is equal to 8 megabites... So, when your game (like Zelda) which
s
supposed to be 215 megabites, devide it by 8 to know it's real size compared
to
CDs. so, let's say 216/8= approx 32.. Which is the MAX size of a Cartridge.
The 64 DD will have maximum 64 megabytes, but you'll see things like 512
gs!
If you don't beleive me, check it out yourslef, take the ROMS (emulators) i'm
sure you heard of those, on your computer, take, let's say Final Fantasy 3,
n
the SNES box, it says it's 24 megs! On your computer? not more then 3 megs.
(24/3=8)... Same with all the other games on the SNES.. Take other games that
said to be 24 megs on the box, they are no more then 3 on the computer, 16 2
etc.. etc..
While CDs? Well, just take your Playstation CD then put it in your CD-ROM,
o
a "DIR" and you'll see the total space well.. in a way, the best way would be
in windows, then doing properties..
Anyways, take a game that takes all the CD, like Final Fantasy 7.. You'll
ee
the big difference..
