JB> That one stuck out to me as well. I couldn't ever remember Kirk
JB> mentioning
JB> that he had met DaVinci. Of course, the writers could say that that was
JB> from
Nope, Kirk did meet him, and reported it in his logs, which is why Janeway
knew of it, Kirk met him because in the Original Series the episode
REQUIEM FOR METHUSELA the character 'Flint' was a long lived human and he had
in fact been Brahms, Da Vinci, Solomon, Alexander, Merlin, and many more....
Flint recounts how he came to be imoprtal near the end of the episode when
Kirk, Spock and McCoy discover the Rayna android prototypes.
JB> Or, it could be from one of the novels. Since I haven't read them all,
That would be rare, as Berman said they never tie into the the novels,
usually it's the other way around.
I'm not sure why they don't consider some of the novels, because it would
help with some of the continuity problems..
Such as WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO THE KLINGONS AND ROMULANS!!! To make
them have 'pronounced' forheads?
JB> I think it was a ploy to make TOS viewers sit up and say "What?!"
That is possible, more likely though they did it as a means to tie Voyager to
the Star Trek universe...
